Quality of life study
We know our holidays have a lasting impact, clients tell us and we know of many clients who now have hobbies like horse riding and swimming that they first tried when on a Heads Up Holiday.
But there have never been any studies into the impact of holidays and social recreation on people with brain injuries. Now there is.
Because we question our clients at the end of each holiday to find out if there have been any issues, how they feel since their holiday and what positive elements did they take out of the experience, we are partnering with Warwick University to provide the data for the first 'Quality of Life Study'.
Carol Hawley based at Warwick University will be collecting data from us before and after clients go away as part of her "Positive growth changes" study into quality of life issues.
She will be linking with Nottingham University to write a paper on the 1-2 year study.
