Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and stands at the crossroads of Europe, Africa and Asia.
Whether you want to watch archaeologists uncover remains dating back to 400BC at the Tomb of the Kings, try some traditional Cypriot fare at the wine growing foothills of the Troodos Mountains, shop for exquisite silver jewellery or hire a jeep and find your own deserted beach, every day can be an adventure.
Paphos' focal point is a charming fishing harbour by Paphos Fort, lined with open-air cafes and tavernas that serve a tempting menu of the day's catch and much more.
